Fourteenth Target Batch
For the fourteenth round of Target Selection (Batch14), we selected 408 proteins from 8 Rickettsia species, which are orthologues and paralogues of the 122 Rickettsia targets already in the SSGCID pipeline (including 23 community requests) and for which no structure has been obtained thus far. Based on discussions with representatives of the relevant scientific communities, we identified eight Rickettsia genomes (R.africae, R.bellii, R.conorii, R.felis, R.massiliae, R.prowazekii, R.rickettsii, R. typhi) for selection of homologues of Rickettsia targets already in the SSGCID pipeline and which failed to produce a structure. Special attention was devoted to orthologues and paralogues of Community Requests.
