deCODE Biostructures
deCODE's role in the SSGCID will include gene construction and expression testing in bacterial and cell-free systems, large-scale protein production and purification; crystallization screening and production, pre-screening of crystals before they are sent for data collection at the synchrotron beam-lines, and structure determination using the resulting data.
deCODE Site Team
Lance J. Stewart, Ph.D., Co-Principal Investigator and Director of deCODE Site Team
Dr. Stewart serves as deCODE’s Co-Principal Investigator to the SSGCID project. In this role, Dr. Stewart will be responsible for oversight of all aspects of deCODE’s research activities within SSGCID, and will also serve as deCODE’s principal contact with SBRI and NIAID.
Alex Burgin, Ph.D.
Dr. Burgin is the Site Manager for deCODE’s SSGCID research activities.
Bart Staker, Ph.D.
Dr. Staker will serve as the Project Manager for all of deCODE’s activities for the SSGCID project.
Mark B. Mixon, Ph.D.
Dr. Mark Mixon will oversee all IT issues.
