Expression Clones

Clones are Available from SSGCID

Effective as of September 1, 2026, SSGCID will no longer ship physical clone glycerols. SSGCID will provide amino acid and nucleotide sequences for any clones ordered, which the ordering party can then use to order the clone from a third-party clone manufacturer.

Please limit your request to 12 or fewer clones. SSGCID clones represent un-induced expression constructs which have been verified by sequencing from vector primers. There are two ways to search for SSGCID clones:  
 

• List all targets with available clones or search by annotation (protein name, organism, external reference). Filter results by clone availability. Targets are linked to the SSGCID individual gene page, where all clones for a given target are listed. On each individual target page, instructions for ordering the material are provided.
  
  
• Perform a BLAST search. The clone availability is shown in the "clone" column. The SSGCIDID column provides a link to the SSGCID individual gene page, where all clones for a given target are listed. The gene page also includes clone ordering instructions.

The charts below show the number of targets, grouped by period of last activity, with clones currently available to order, and the total number of clones distributed during the same period.
