WSU’s role in the SSGCID is to provide equipment and expertise for NMR-based determination of the structure of a small number of proteins that cannot be solved by X-ray crystallography.

Dr. Buchko, who holds a joint appointment between Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and Washington State University, is responsible for overseeing the NMR studies at WSU.
